Some people do not simply care how their coffee is prepared, but different ways of coffee preparation result in unique taste experiences. The following are five ways to brew coffee;

Coffee Drip

Filter coffee, also known as drip coffee is one of the most popular methods of coffee preparation. This method includes pouring hot water over ground beans. The brew is then strained with a filter made of paper, plastic or metal mesh. 

There is a high ratio of caffeine that is got per spoon of it that is ground. If you use a good machine, the brew will be good. You should note that manual drippers are less convenient compared to electrical ones.

French Press

This method is essential for heavy-bodied lovers. It is one of the easiest methods. A French press (press pot) is a simple brewing device with a filter and a beaker. The coffee is ground and combined with the French press we pour then hot water. Wait for at least four minutes then press the grounds down and lastly serve.

If all is not being drunk right away, I recommend you transfer the remaining into a heat-keep vessel. Leaving it in the French press could cause an overreaction which might ruin it. It is an ideal method for large servings or many cups.

Turkish Coffee

This method includes infusing finely ground beans in nearly boiling water. What we must observe in this method is the grind size. Fine powder or almost fine is perfect for this type of preparation.

There are no Turkish electrical machines to grind the beans for residential use. They use manual mills. It has the fullest body of all the brewing methods. It is not advisable for people who like a clear drink.

Percolator (Moka)

This is the only drink you get that is closer to a shot of espresso without the real espresso machine. This method includes three distinct levels. Water, coffee grounds, and a container for it to boil into. We boil the water until it goes through the coffee in the middle and directly into the chamber at the top. Because of the act that grounds stay at a constant boil, it results in the most bitter cup. 

Pour Over

This method involves intensive and technical skills ‘manually’. You grind the beans all by yourself then you put those grounds into an apparatus like a bee house dripper. Slowly pour hot water over the ground coffee in a circular fashion. This method results in a complex flavour.  

These are just some of the many brewing methods that are out there.
