Samsung is set to roll out the Android 13 update for the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy S20 Ultra, Galaxy Note 20 ultra, Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra devices.
Android 13
Samsung already unveiled the Android 13-based One UI 5 a few weeks ago at the Samsung Developer Conference (SDC) 2022.
However, their new devices, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 will have to wait. They don’t have a stable One UI 5 version yet.
Samsung’s Camera Assistant App
The South Korean electronics maker has also been able to launch the Camera assistant app for Galaxy smartphones that run on the One UI 5. You can now download the app from the galaxy store for Samsung devices.
This new technology enables you to activate or disenable Auto HDR. Moreover, it comes stacked with the Soften Pictures feature. This smoothes out sharp edges and textures.
Samsung has also made it possible for the users of the app to record videos in photo mode. This is done by holding the shutter button. Additionally, you have the ability to select the number of frames the camera captures after the timer.
The camera assistant app will automatically turn off the camera if you are not using it for two minutes.
This app is also able to automatically chose the most suitable camera lens based on the zoom, subject distance, and lighting.
Samsung’s Timeline
It still remains unclear exactly when these updates will expand to other regions because, at the moment, they are only available in selected areas. Nonetheless, Samsung is always on track and they will surely roll out the updates very soon.
They launched the Android 13 on Samsung’s Galaxy S22 series at the end of October and it will expand to more devices as we have seen. This version is bigger and better and has more features.
