You don’t have to walk into the bank every time you need to make a deposit or withdrawal. If it’s for Kshs 300,000 and below, you simply use your handset device to deposit the cash from your Mpesa account to your Co-operative Bank account.

The following guide takes you through the step-by-step process of depositing money from Mpesa to your Co-operative bank account via the Co-op bank paybill number

  • Using your mobile phone, open the sim tool kit and click on Mpesa. This process can also be done using the Mpesa App or the Safaricom App.
  • Select the Paybill option.
  • Select the “Enter Business No.” option.
  • Key in the Co-op bank Paybill number which is 400200 and hit Ok.
  • Next, enter your Co-operative account number in the account number section and press Ok.
  • In the amount section, key in the amount you want to deposit to the Co-operative bank account number and proceed.
  • Enter the Mpesa pin and press Ok.
  • Before you finish off, cross-check the details to make sure all the information that you have typed in is okay. Press okay if everything checks out.
  • Mpesa sends you a verification window to make sure you are okay with the information that is there. If the information is okay dismiss it or ignore. However, if the information is wrong, you will have a few seconds to cancel it. Press 1 or any other digit to cancel the transaction.
  • A confirmation message will be sent to you from Mpesa as well as from Co-op Bank.
