Say hello to Google Allo: a smarter messaging app
Google has today launched a messaging app that promises to do it all. They call it Google Allo. Whether its planning a meeting or passing information to your friends,we more often than not use messaging apps for its convenience and precision. However sometimes we pause our conversations to look up either an incoming email, to check out a video online or even to cross reference a statement made.
Increased Productivity
This new app lets you do all this and more without leaving your friends hanging. Google Allo can help you make plans, find information and even express yourself more easily in chat. In addition to this it learns and gets more attuned to your needs the more you use it. Imagine a personal assistant who anticipates your needs before they occur.
Google Allo makes it easier for you to respond quickly and keep the conversation going, even when you’re on the go. With Smart Reply, you can respond to messages with just a tap, so you can send a quick “yup” in response to a friend asking “Are you on your way?” Smart Reply will also suggest responses for photos. If your friend sends you a photo of their pet, you might see Smart Reply suggestions like “aww cute!” And whether you’re a “haha” or “?” kind of person, Smart Reply will improve over time and adjust to your communication style.
Express yourself effectively
Chatting these days is a lot more than just text. Google allo has a built in set of emojis and stickers to make your conversations exciting. It helps you create customised stickers as well-you can now scribble your name or append your signature on your selfie- in app.
One of the most revolutionary features of the app is the integration of google assistant. By typing @google you can bring the assistant right into your group where you can ask her for any information you need. You can also chat with it exclusively on Allo.
Privacy
Google seems to have taken privacy in this app really seriously. Allo has an incognito mode to keep your conversations private. The messages are encrypted from end to end, in addition to this the conversations have an expiry period just In case you forget to delete any ‘incriminating’ evidence.
This app seems to have all that you’d want in a messaging app and we at Tech Guy like it. You can get it on the google play store for free.
