It’s always a great idea to back up your device just in case you lose it or it gets broken. If you own a Samsung phone, then you are lucky because there are various ways to do it. You can use Google Drive or Samsung Cloud.

How to Back up a Samsung Phone Using Google Drive

If your Samsung device is running on Android 12, head to settings accounts back up and then click on ‘back up data’ under the Google Drive heading. The device will show you how much space you have on Google Drive too.

This process will take slightly longer depending on the amount of data you want to back up. Additionally, if you are using an older version of Android, then the process is the same but slightly different.

How to Back Up a Samsung Phone Using Samsung Cloud

This procedure is almost the same as using Google Drive. Go to settings, then accounts and back up and under Samsung, Cloud click hit ‘back up data’.

Moreover, you can get the restore data option here. This is how you restore your previously backed-up data to your device.

How to Back Up a Samsung Phone to a PC or Mac

If you decide to back up your data to a computer, then that is possible too. First, download Samsung Smart Switch to your Mac or PC. Connect your phone using a USB cable and open the program.

Click on the tab labelled backup and click ‘allow’ on your phone when prompted to. Allow the process to go on and complete and click ‘Ok’ once done.

How to Back Up a Samsung Phone Remotely

As long as the Find My Mobile service is set up and has a data connection, then you can back up your data remotely.

Go to Find My Mobile Site, then sign in to your Samsung Account and choose the device you want to back up. Tap the backup button and you are ready.

These are the ways in which you can back up your data and ensure that you can have access to it even when you have lost or spoilt your Samsung phone.
