Do you wish to have your blogging efforts rewarded? It is possible to monetize your blog and make good money through various ways. I have compiled a few ways where you can make your blogging worth it :

  1. Promoting Affiliate Programs

This entails selling others’ products on your own blog site. This is a great and easy way to make money since you are paid once your audience buys the product. Each time you recommend a product or service to the audience, it is important to confirm whether the company has an affiliate program. Many e-commerce establishments have an affiliate program and website owners who sign up for them can get a commission when they attract sales. The percentages differ depending on product. For instance, an 8.5% commission is paid for Kindle books by Amazon Associates while music and movies attracts a 5% commission. Another prime example of a product that could be promoted is online courses.

  1. Advertising Programs

This remains one of the most effective ways to make money from blogs. This entails displaying an advertisement on your blog and getting a commission when someone clicks on it, views it, or makes a purchase. Google AdSense is evidently the most common option for bloggers even though other alternatives such as BurstMedia and Chitika exist. AdSense is a feature by Google that allows website publishers to display advertisements on their website. Income generated from this source varies from month to month. Massive traffic is a prerequisite for making money.

  1. Product and service Sales

Bloggers can launch their own products on their site after sometime. Once trust and loyalty has been established between bloggers and their readers, money can be made through direct sales. It is important to note that high traffic to a site increases chances that brand awareness will be created; hence, increasing chances of making a sale. Prime examples of products you can promote are accessories, books, clothes, and electronics. It is recommended that you sell products that are related to the theme of the blog. You can also market services such as freelancing, logo services, theme creation as well as consulting services.

  1. Product Reviews

Product reviews offer information that can help customers make informed purchasing decisions. It is advisable to review products that are related to your website. For instance, a cooking blog can review a certain recipes. You can influence people’s buying habits after they have developed trust in you when it comes to making recommendations. The reviews could be about products, services, or destinations. Payments or free products may not come right away but the reviews can be monetized easily. This can be done through the creation of a blog post that makes product recommendations and adding affiliate links from a desired program.

  1. Banner and Text Ads

For those not interested in showing AdSense ads on their site, banner ads are an alternative money generating idea. If you have managed to attract potential traffic, there are many people who will request to place their ads on your site.

  1. Email Marketing

This marketing tool allows you to deliver the message through emails. It is advisable to start building an email list early enough even if the blog is not established. This will help ensure that the monetization process generates higher rewards.

  1. Membership Site

There has been an increase in the number of sites offering premium memberships. A good example is newspapers. These have been switching to online content for some time now. A membership free would help ensure that one earn some money as they provide information. These websites can offer tutorials and offering instructions about how to go about certain tasks.

Other ways include auctioning a website, job boards, paid directory listings, surveys, teaching program, among others.

So there you have it. You can start reaping benefits from blogging right away. Good Luck!
