How to register and use Pochi

Registering for a Pochi account is easy. You don’t have to go through a rigorous registration process. All you need to have is your M-Pesa registered line and follow this procedure:

1. Dial *334# on your registered M-Pesa line
2. Select “Pochi La Biashara” 
3. Next, select “Join Pochi” and press 1 to accept the terms and conditions
4. Finally, select your business category from the list provided
5. Safaricom will immediately send a confirmation SMS that your registration is successful

Customers can send money to your Pochi account using three different methods: USSD code, STK menu, and Safaricom’s M-Pesa app.

How to send money to a Pochi wallet via USSD:

1. Dial *334# on Safaricom line
2. Select “Lipa na M-Pesa”
3. Select “Pochi la Biashara”
4. Enter the recipient’s phone number and amount
5. Enter your M-Pesa PIN and complete the transaction

How send money to a Pochi wallet using M-Pesa STK menu:

1. Open M-Pesa on the STK menu your phone
2. Select “Lipa na M-Pesa”
3. Next, go to “Pochi la Biashara”
4. Enter the phone number of the recipient
5. Enter the amount and enter your M-Pesa PIN to complete the transaction

How to send money to a Pochi wallet using the M-Pesa app:

1. Open the M-Pesa app on your phone and select “Pay”
2. Select “Pochi La Biashara”
3. Enter the merchant’s phone number
4. Enter the amount you would like to send
5. Enter your M-Pesa PIN to complete the transaction

How to withdraw money from your Pochi account

There are two ways in which you can withdraw money from your Pochi wallet. One is to withdraw directly from an M-Pesa agent. You can also transfer money from your Pochi wallet to your M-Pesa wallet and withdraw normally.

Here is the procedure to withdraw money from your Pochi wallet through an agent:

1. Dial *334#
2. Select “Pochi La Biashara”
3. Go to “Withdraw Cash”
4. Enter the agent number
5. Enter the amount, followed by your M-Pesa PIN

To transfer money from your Pochi wallet to your M-PESA number, Dial *334# and select “Pochi La Biashara.” Now go to “Move Money” followed by “Pochi to M-Pesa.” Next, enter the amount you would like to transfer followed by your M-Pesa PIN.

Note that transferring money from your Pochi wallet to your M-Pesa account is free. However, the standard M-Pesa transaction fees apply to all the other transactions.
