Infinix Mobility has introduced the newest entrant into the Infinix family, the Infinix Note 3. The launch took place at a colorful event at the Intercontinental hotel and was invite only.
Present at the event was Infinix Mobility co-founder and Managing Director, Mr. Benjamin Jiang. Mr. Jiang said that the Note 3 stands as a testament to the company’s goal of innovation in mobility. He said that the Note 3 “seeks to change the way we experience mobile technology” and the device had been modeled along the common and unique needs and patterns of customers.
Note 3 Features
The Note 3 includes the following features:
- 2GB RAM (Pro version comes with 3GB)
- 13MP back camera and 5MP front camera
- 4500mAh battery
- Fingerprint scanner
- Duo-charge engine for fast charging
One of the outstanding features of the Note 3 is its fast-charging capability. A 5-minute charge can provide up to 200 minutes of talk time. The phone is also capable of achieving up to two and a half days of standby time during average use.
Damage
The smartphone is retailing at Kshs. 14,499 on Jumia.
As you can see from the specs above, the Infinix Note 3 is an upgrade when compared to the Infinix Note 2. The key selling points that Infinix will use when pushing the Note 3 are listed below.
Fast Charging
According to Infinix, the Note 3 can get you up to 200 minutes of talk time with just 5 minutes of charring it. According to the company, this has been achieved with the inclusion of duo 4.5A charging engines with MediaTek Pump Express fast charging technology to ensure a fast and safe charging process.
Aeroscope Cooling Technology
The Infinix Note 3 comes with Aeroscope Cooling Technology (ACT) that is made up of copper pipes that carry fluid through the phone to prevent overheating. When the phone is overheating, the fluid evaporates and the extra heat is circulated as water vapor. This is the first smartphone from Infinix that uses this technology and I will be keen to see if it works as expected.
Massive Battery
The Infinix Note 3 comes with a 4500 mAh battery that is slightly bigger than the 4040mAh one used on the Note 2. This battery can be fully charged in 99 minutes thanks to XCharge 3.0.
Fingerprint scanner
The Note 3 comes with a fingerprint reader that the company says can unlock your phone in just 0.25 seconds. The fingerprint scanner can also be used as the shutter button when taking photos.
Here is how the event went down:
