NCA Kenya is the National Construction Authority. Its main function is to control and coordinate the development of the construction sector in Kenya. The following are the NCA registration requirements for contractors working in Kenya;

Requirements in Order to be Registered by NCA in Kenya

• Copy of Construction Company’s certificate of registration
• Tax compliance certificate by KRA
• Certificates and testimonials for all technically qualified directors
• Certified copy of your business permit
• Important financial information and 3 years of financial records
• Contractors’ association membership certificates
• Certificate from the energy regulatory commission
• CR 12
• Copies certified that prove ownership of assets

How to register as a Contractor in Kenya

When you make sure you have your documents in order it becomes easy to register. All this is done online.

• Visits the National Construction Authority Website
• Click contractors tab and choose register to be a contractor
• Fill in the details needed so as to open an account. The passport/ID number and a password is needed
• Pick the ‘new application’ tab and ‘new contractors registration’
• Choose view registration documents and upload the ones that are needed
• After submitting your details, you will receive an invoice with the amount to be paid and the way you will pay it
• After payment, type in the M-Pesa transaction number. For the bank payment type the bank transaction number.

2. NCA 2 – up to 500 M value
3. NCA 3 – up to 300 M
4. NCA 4 – up to 200 M
5. NCA 5 – up to 100 M
6. NCA 6 – up to 50 M

8. NCA 8 – up to 10 M
