HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones, has today announced the availability of Nokia 5310 in Kenya retailing as from Ksh 4,999

Commenting during the announcement, Mark Misumi, HMD Global Business Manager East Africa said, “The availability of Nokia 5310 allows us to reach all Nokia phone lovers from every price segment. The device is price conscious and offers our fans reliability and durability coupled with ease of use. Nokia 5310 offers all of these with an extra dose of design.”

The new Nokia 5310 feature phone is a refined version and a throwback to the Nokia 5310 XpressMusic launched in August 2007. With easy-to-use buttons, smooth curves, and a comfortable grip, Nokia 5310 is a new take on an old favorite – an iconic design with a fresh face.

The phone features a 2.4-inch QVGA (240×320 pixels) display, powered by a MT6260A processor and runs on Nokia Series 30+ OS. The phone comes with 8MB of RAM, 16MB of internal storage, expandable to 32GB via a microSD card.

The phone comes with a preloaded MP3 player, and powerful dual front-facing speakers for you to enjoy bold and loud music or radio at any given time. The in-built FM radio enables you listen to your favorite radio stations without the need for headphones, you simply switch on to your favorite station and listen using the phone’s loudspeakers.

This smartphone has dedicated music buttons that allow you to scan between your favorite radio stations, skip songs or adjust the volume so you never have to miss a beat.

The removable 1200mAh battery of the Nokia 5310 gives you up to 22 days of battery life from a single charge, allowing up to 30 days in standby mode and up to 20 hours of talk time.

When it comes to connectivity, the device comes with a micro USB 1.1 port, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and Bluetooth 3.0. It also comes with a VGA camera at the back with an LED flash, a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Pricing and availability

The Nokia 5310 is available in black and white colors and will retail from Ksh 4,999. The phone is available in Dual-Sim with 8MB RAM/16MB of ROM variant with expandable storage up to 32GB via microSD card.
