How to Transfer Money from Mpesa to Standard Chartered Bank Account

This process helps people to access funds in their accounts without the unnecessary visits to the banking halls. It saves time and you can use that energy saved for other important issues.

The following is how you can transfer funds from your Mpesa account to your Standard Chartered account using the paybill;

  • In your phone go to the Mpesa Menu in the sim toolkit, Mpesa App or Safaricom App.
  • Pick the Lipa na Mpesa Option and choose the Paybill.
  • Here, key in the Standard Chartered Bank Mpesa paybill number which is 329329 and press enter.
  • In the Account number space, key in the Standard Chartered account number that you want to transfer funds to and press Ok to continue.
  • Next, enter the amount of cash that you want to send to you your Standard Chartered account.
  • The next prompt that will follow is the one to key in your pin number. Key it in and press ok.
  • Confirm if the details are okay when the Safaricom Hakikisha service shows up. Here, you will have a few seconds to verify if the details are correct. If they are correct, ignore or dismiss. If they are wrong, enter number 1 and press okay to cancel the transaction.
  • You will then receive a confirmation message from Mpesa and Standard Chartered Bank indicating whether your account has been credited or not.
