Tecno Camon c9 camera is the smartphone for selfie lovers and those who treasure capturing memorable moments, objects and events. Techno mobile is giving its customers a chance to invest in an excellent and magnificent camera phone or at least that was the marketing message.
Am I satisfied after all the hype?
Well, yes, to a large extent.
The 13MP front camera with flash and 13MP back camera are the highlight of Camon c9. Its camera is undeniably the smartphones’ selling point. I am happy to report that the smartphone takes great photos.
The selfie camera did grab my attention for two reasons: it is big and centrally placed. I definitely had high expectations for this camera and I am happy to report that there have not been major disappointments so far. The photos taken are gorgeous.
Some of its most fascinating camera features are face beautification option, HDR, night mode, panorama, impressive capturing angle, and powerful sensors.
This is a major upgrade considering its predecessors. Both cameras perform well in well-lit environments but the selfie camera struggles a bit in low lighting conditions. The good news is that the main camera compensates for that since it captures very descent and impressive photos even in low light.
The response time is quite good. I must admit that I got carried away observing photos taken instantly after tapping on the shutter. That, combined with the ability to launch the camera from sleep conveniently, left me impressed.
Just like its predecessors, Camon c9 has a dedicated camera key which summons the viewfinder when long pressed. Nevertheless, I discovered that using the camera button was less efficient than using the shortcut on the lock or home screens. The good news is that the T-Band is another convenient way of doing it. This single button succeeds in firing the camera and taking descent snaps.
Given that Camon c9 is a camera phone, I was not sure the camera would be easy to operate. That is not the case since the camera does not have complicated settings. I had an easy time operating the basic and straightforward options. Everything any average user may need is accessible through a maximum of two clicks, for most, one click gets you there.
Final verdict: If you are looking for a good camera phone at an okay price, Camon c9 can be a good option.
