I was privileged to attend the launch of the Tecno phantom 5 in Nairobi, the flagship device for Tecno Mobile in 2015.
Later, I also had a chance to have a unit to play with for a couple of days and tell you more of what it feels. so figured out how I’d give you a quick first look …. a video!
Before you watch, here are some things you should know about the Tecno Phantom 5:
- Tecno Phantom 5 comes with a fingure print sensor on the back.
- The phone will retail for Kshs 39,999
- If you are a lover of music, then you are catered for with the Boom Player App.
It has a 5.5 inch 1080 HD screen with dual SIM, a 13 megapixel back-facing camera with dual flash and an impressive 8 megapixel front-facing camera with a flash too! It also comes with a 3,000 mAh battery which makes it work for really long between charges and also has a monster 3GB of RAM meaning that it can handle lots of multitasking functions.
It also has an Octacore Processor meaning its really fast! It has a decent amount of on-board memory with 32GB ROM and also has 4G mobile internet connectivity. Lastly, it has a fingerprint sensor which is a first for a Tecno mobile device as far as I know making this undoubtedly a flagship smartphone. The Phantom is being retailed at Kes. 39,999.00 at launch – the most expensive Tecno (ever?) that I am aware of at this time.
