TECNO Mobile will launch their next flagship Tecno Phantom 8 in Dubai on 22nd october. And expectedly, there will be a Phantom 8 and a Phantom 8 Plus.

Something characteristic this year, has been the year of number 8. Most Mobile phone brands seemed to have ‘complied’ by launching their flagship devices with the number 8.

TECNO have confirmed the 20MP front camera with dual LED flash. They’ve also confirmed what they are calling new attractive diamond style design.  We are however not sure if both devices will have this features .

Interestingly Tecno has again chosen Dubai as its venue for the Phantom 8 launch. But again, we should not be surprised, remember the company also launched the Phantom 6 and Phantom 6 plus in Dubai last year.

According to a report by IDC published in 2015, mobile phone penetration rate in Africa has risen to 80 per cent from six per cent. Market surveys show that currently, Tecno controls an average of 25.3 per cent market share in Sub-Saharan African countries since 2014. This places it at first place the sub-Saharan region.  This places it at first place the sub-Saharan region.

In the past decade, the TECNO Mobile brand has enjoyed success especially with its feature and budget smartphone lines across Africa and the Middle East where mostly youth demographics embrace the offerings of the brand.

The new Tecno Phantom 8 will make taking photos easier and much more professional. The phone will also pack an advanced light assist feature that will help take pro photos even in a very dark environment; it quotes “To put it simply, the camera shoots exactly what you see!”

The Phantom 8 is also rumoured to boast a whooping 6GM of RAM with 64GB internal storage. We will keep you with new updates as we receive.
