Tecno Phantom 8 was unveiled at the Dubai event after so much speculations, the device sure has some eye-catching features especially in the optics aspects.

Price in Kenya starts at around Kshs 37,000

Some of the highlights are dual back camera setup, 6GB RAM and astounding body design. We didn’t see the unveiling of Tecno Phantom 8 Plus at the event which literally means; no Phantom 8 Plus this time around.

The device is a highly specced smartphone boasting 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage space. With that huge RAM size paired with a MediaTek Helio P25, an octa-core processor, running high task demanding apps wouldn’t pose a problem.

Camera

Camera quality is one of the major selling points of the Tecno Phantom 8, Just as the last year’s Phantom 6, it uses a dual camera setup that sees the combination of 12 megapixels and 13 megapixels at the back with a single LED flash, the cameras are of Sony IMX 386 like those of iPhone flagships.

Many may argue if this could be possible, but judging from what smartphone cameras are capable of these days, the number of people depending on DSLR for photography may dip in the nearest future.

The new Tecno Phantom 8 will make taking photos easier and much more professional. The phone will also pack an advanced light assist feature that will help take pro photos even in a very dark environment; it quotes “To put it simply, the camera shoots exactly what you see!”

Tecno Phantom 8 sports a 3,500 mAh battery at the powerhouse, most people believe Tecno could have done better with at least 4,000 mAh or more but all the same, the capacity on the device is still not bad.
