Who Qualifies for a Timiza Loan?
Before you go to Google Playstore or App Store to download Timiza Loan App and apply for loans, you must first check if you are eligible to register and borrow Timiza loans. Here are the requirements:
- You must be an active user of Safaricom services such as calls, M-pesa, and data.
- You must be a registered M-PESA user for at least six months.
- Your Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) and Safaricom’s Okoa Jahazi ratings must be good.
How to Register and Apply for Timiza Loans
- Go to either Google Playstore or Appstore (depending on your phone’s operating system) and search “Timiza”. Make sure the app you are about to install is owned by Absa Bank Kenya Ltd.
- Install the app on your smartphone.
- Open the Timiza Loan app and follow the on-screen instructions to sign-up. The registration process is straightforward.
- After registering successfully, open the app and tap on “My Loans” to see the amount of money you can borrow.
- Next, tap on “Request Loans” and enter the amount you would like to borrow as long as it is within your limit, and tap on “continue”.
- Timiza Loan App will deposit your loan into your Timiza account if it approves your application.
- Once you have your money in your account, you can withdraw it to your M-pesa account (it doesn’t come automatically to your M-pesa).
How to Apply for Timiza Loan using USSD
- Dial and call *848#.
- Enter your correct Timiza PIN when prompted.
- Select option number 4 (Loan and Send).
- Choose “Request Loan” on the screen that follows.
- Next, enter the amount you would like to borrow.
- Once your request is approved, Timiza will deposit your money to your account instantly.
How to Repay Timiza Loan
- Tap on “Lipa Na M-pesa” on your phone’s M-pesa menu.
- Tap on “Paybill” and input 300067 as your PayBill number.
- Next, enter the account number (your phone number).
- Enter the amount of money you would like to repay.
- Finally, enter your M-pesa PIN to complete the transaction.
