The following are effective ways on what to do to avoid your Phone from being hacked by any unauthorised people;

Be Wary of Permission that you give to Apps

Most applications ask for various permissions when you download and install them on your phone. They ask if they can view your pictures, access your contacts and use the microphone and camera. Therefore, be careful when you allow suspicious apps on this channel.

Review Apps Found on Your device

Apps may seem safe when you install them but the constant updates may turn them into tools for hacking. Take some time to review the permissions that these apps have or if they have changed their terms.

Stay up to Date to Avoid Being Hacked

To avoid the constant cases of being hacked, always update your apps when a new and better update comes out. This should be done from your official app store.

Do not root or jailbreak your phone; this only makes it more susceptible to attacks.

Always be Ready to Track and Lock your Phone

You should always have a ready plan in case you lose your phone and are certain that your information may be out there. A great example is to have your phone erase all the data after numerous attempts to gain access without success.

Moreover, Apple and Google have the “Find My Device” option that lets you track your phone in case you lose it. It helps you find, lock or erase data remotely.

Give Intruders a Hard Time

Having a passcode on your phone can easily save you a lot. Hackers can physically use unsecured information on your device to cause you a lot of harm.

Additionally, you should be wary of smart unlock features that depend on your smartwatch’s proximity to your mobile devices.

Other ways to avoid your phone being hacked include, avoiding open Wi-Fi, adopting an alter ego, closing down online services after use, setting your lock screen to reveal nothing, locking individual apps, and getting notified when the device disappears.
