Are you a vehicle owner looking to get a driving license in Kenya? Then, consider registering your vehicle’s TIMS account with the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) to help you access its services conveniently.

How to Register for the NTSA TIMS Account
Follow this step-by-step guide to register your account.
- Visit the NTSA TIMS website at www.ntsa.co.ke.
- Click on the “Register Now” button and fill out the form with your information.
- Next, select the category of your choice. The available options include individual, agent, financial institution, dealer, company, and driving school.
- On this page, you’ll see an option to enter your ID serial number for individuals or KRA PIN for all other categories, then click “verify.”
- Fill out all of the required information—address, city email, etc.—confirm your details, then click the “Submit” button.
6. This will bring up another confirmation message indicating your registration details, such as your username and password.
7. Now, use these details to access your account on the NTSA TIMS portal.
How to login to your NTSA TIMS account
If you want to login, you’ll be required to enter your username, Id and password. Then, select “Log In.” This will bring up the main menu. From here, select “My Account” from the list of options on the left side of the screen.
The next page is the information section. If you choose an individual account, some of your data will be filled in automatically. Just fill in your maiden name, KRA PIN, occupation, and mobile number.
Now, click the button “Send Authorization Code” to receive a code on your mobile line.
Key in the code and click “verify,” and more fields will appear on the screen. Fill in the blanks and double-check the information you entered.
Click “Next” to sign up for your TIMS account. The SMS service team will then send you a password that you will use to log in to your account.
Remember to save your TIMS login details because you will use them every time you wish to access your account.
How do you change NTSA TIMS account password?
Visit the NTSA website and enter your ID number and username. For logging in, you will receive a one-time security code on your phone.Enter the code in the box, then click “Sign In.” Once logged into your account, change your password by clicking on your name at the top right corner of the page. A new page will be opened where you will create your password.

How to pay for NTSA services
At one point, you’ll need to pay for your NTSA TIMS account services.
Simply use M-Pesa via the NTSA paybill number: 206 206.
- Go to the M-PESA tool kit or app on your phone.
- Choose the “Pay Bill” ooption.
- Next, enter Business No. 206206.
- Now, enter your account number, for example, XRZ BJN.
- Enter the amount you wish to pay.
- Key in your M-PESA PIN and press the “Send” button.
You will receive a confirmation SMS from MPESA showing the payment you have made.
